A Hot Walk

It wasn't too hot, probably low 80s, but it sure felt like it after the approximately 3.5 miles of today's trek. I listened to much of NIN's Ghosts I-IV and enjoyed the relative coolness and serenity of the riverbank, once I got there.

Front Street from Broadway until the Promenade is not all that pleasant of a walk. There are few sidewalks, and those that do exist are old and a bit overgrown. Bike paths seem to be the better option in those cases.

But the final payoff is sights like those below. Even the turtles decided to take the day off, I saw about 5 altogether in two locations.

New song for Only Golden Fingers

With my workshop reading only a day away, I was inspired to write a new song for my rock opera called "Today" (coincidentally the same title as a new Todd Rundgren song, but otherwise totally unrelated.)

If you've heard any of the other stuff, you'll recognize the tune from "Presidential Proclamation" and later adapted to "Holy Week Overture" in 40 Days: Resurrection to Ascension.
