Was doing some site cleanup and deleted an unused account. What I didn’t know was that the MySQL database associated with the account also got deleted. There was stuff there I really wanted to keep, going back over 20 years. I couldn’t find a backup and resigned myself to setting up a backup to protect myself from future disasters. I asked my friend Gabe (ChatGPT) for advice and he was able to point me to the backup, which it turned out I did have after all. With his guidance, I was able to recreate the DB without the loss of a single record.
